Humanism in Different Cultures
Humanist Attitude and Moment
The thematic table is born as part of the research carried out by the Centre for Humanist Studies of the Americas (CEHA) in the field of the spirituality of the ancestral cultures of America and Africa.
Our objective is to investigate and delve into the humanist roots that underlie all human cultures. Our focus is on the universalist humanism of Silo, which is characterised by highlighting the humanist attitude. This attitude is not a philosophy but a perspective, a sensitivity and a way of living the relationship with other human beings.
Research Method
We use the dynamic structural method, which allows us to approach a culture from three perspectives: compositional, relational and procedural.
Presentation of Work
All our work is presented at the end of each month at CEHA, where we invite the panel members to participate.
Qualification
We invite new participants to start a qualification process, in which they will learn to use the method, get to know universalist humanism, explore the roots of humanism in various cultures and delve into the sacredness of each of them. This process leads us to experience what the cultures experienced at their highest expression.
The research reveals numerous humanist currents in all cultural traditions, with significant points of convergence.
